Michele Lyon

Michele has lived throughout the west and southwest. She was born in Los Angeles and has lived up and down the west coast including Seattle for many years. She spent her teens in Texas and Taos, New Mexico. She now resides in Santa Fe.

Her father was a well known artist in Taos for over 35 years: Frank O Lyon. She grew up in the art field around other well known artists such as; R. C. Gorman and Kelly Pruitt.

Her formal training and education came via her father and the galleries and bronze foundry he owned, along with living in an art community. She also attended colleges in the northwest majoring in; art, art history and interior design.

Her love of interior design and working for over 18 years in that field has enabled her to understand the buyer and the desire for homeowners to achieve richness to their lives. With humor and taste she decided to paint anthropomorphic art rarely done in the art community, utilizing her love of classicism and 16 th to 18 th century painting styles.
